Providing instant loan decisioning solution to leading lenders in MX
With 30M requests per year, up to 8M a month and 200/minutes at peak, Powens is the leading provider of IMSS data in Mexico.
Powens respects users’ data privacy and ensures bank and lenders can enforce their privacy policies with confidence. We only retrieve data upon user request and do not store it permanently.
Some providers rely on past user data that was stored months ago. Powens always retrieves the data dynamically at request, to ensure our customers make accurate lending decisions.
Powens connects directly to Mexico’s Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT), the national tax authority. The company authenticates with their tax credentials, and Powens retrieves their official income tax return data — including declared income, tax filings, and fiscal status — in a structured digital format via API.
The SAT product returns (i) annual and periodic tax declarations, (ii) tax payment compliance records (iii) fiscal status and (iv) invoices. For business lending, this provides a reliable, tamper-proof view of revenue that is independent of bank account data.
Powens retrieves SAT data on demand when the user authenticates. The data reflects the latest filings available in the SAT system. Since tax declarations are filed periodically (monthly for businesses, annually for individuals), the data is as current as the most recent filing. Powens structures and delivers this data instantly once retrieved.
The primary use case is business lending: lenders use SAT data to verify declared revenue, assess tax compliance, and evaluate creditworthiness of Mexican SMEs and entrepreneurs. It is also used for KYB (Know Your Business) processes, supplier onboarding, and any workflow where verified income or fiscal status of a Mexican entity is needed.
