Some Powens property management customers have achieved 15x growth in one year by automating rent payments and bank connections. One customer (Unibo) built Europe’s first account for commonholds, where each building has a Powens IBAN account to automate all incomes and expenses.

Each tenant or property can be assigned a unique Virtual IBAN. When rent is paid to that IBAN, the system automatically knows which tenant paid for which property — eliminating manual matching. Combined with Direct Debit for automated collection, this removes days of backoffice reconciliation work.

The solution combines Transactions, Business Transactions, Wealth & Loans, Business Wealth & Loans, Accounts & Virtual IBANs, Instant Transfers, Direct Debit, Pay by Bank, Bank ID Check and Valitic (for the Spanish market).

Bank ID Check verifies the tenant’s bank account ownership details, while Transactions data retrieved from the tenant’s bank account reveals actual income source and regularity. In Spain, Valitic – a collaborative service from Iberpay – can also be used to verify a tenant’s bank account ownership.
